UF, UF, UF. PNR, HR, Sci-Fi, finding a bit more YA that I enjoy. Mystery, crime, detective shit. Have recently figured out I'm not really a contemporary romance gal. I like smut but am not really into erotica. Oh, did I mention UF?

Dark Places: A Novel
Amazing book. Amazing author. I got both Sharp Objects and Dark Places from the library. I'm paying full price for Gone Girl because I know it will be worth the money and I don't want to be 172 out of 172 on the waiting list from the library!
Dark, deep, disturbing but definitely smart. Gillian Flynn might not write the stories that everyone wants to read (don't expect a HEA), but she's creative, disturbing, twisty and engrossing.
I usually read Paranormal Romance or Urban Fantasy but I love a good mystery/thriller/crime novel as well. Most I find predictable even if I appreciate the writing. I appreciate the dark, disturbed female lead as a refreshing alternative to the overly familiar dark, crusty, disturbed male lead.
