I wish I had been able to get this on my Kindle from the library. I was only able to get the paperback. I can't even tell you how many passages would have been highlighted. Excellent prose. Just excellent. I didn't feel like anything was overwrought, pain was pain and loneliness was loneliness and joy was joy and that god-shaped hole felt cavernous and bottomless and tugged at my soul.
I don't normally gush about a book, but this one, I'm a freaking geyser.
